Buying a kitten
in Singapore — FAQ.
Everything first-time buyers ask us about price, health, paperwork and bringing a Meowtelier kitten home.
How much is a British Shorthair kitten in Singapore?
Our British Shorthair and British Longhair kittens start from SGD 5,XXX, and Ragdoll kittens from SGD 5,XXX. Every kitten is TICA- or ANCATS-registered with DNA-tested parents.
Are your kittens vaccinated and health-checked?
Yes. Every Meowtelier kitten is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and vet-checked before going home, and comes with 1 year of health insurance (including outpatient treatment) plus 10% off at our partner vet.
Are your kittens registered pedigrees?
Always. We only home TICA- or ANCATS-certified British Shorthair, British Longhair and Ragdoll kittens, with traceable bloodlines and DNA-tested parents.
Do you deliver across Singapore?
Yes — we offer island-wide delivery across Singapore. Viewings are by appointment at our cattery near South Buona Vista, daily 11am–7pm.
How do I reserve a kitten?
A kitten is reserved with a 50% deposit of the selling price. We accept cash, bank transfer, credit card and GrabPayLater, with the balance due on go-home day.
What's included when I bring my kitten home?
A starter kit, full health records, TICA/ANCATS pedigree paperwork, 1-year health insurance (incl. outpatient), and 10% off at our partner vet.
Where can I buy British Shorthair, British Longhair or Ragdoll kittens in Singapore?
Are British Shorthair cats suitable for HDB or condo living?
Yes. British Shorthairs are calm, quiet and undemanding, which makes them very well suited to HDB flats and condominiums in Singapore. They're content indoors and adapt easily to apartment life.
What should I check before buying a pedigree kitten in Singapore?
Check that the cattery is AVS-licensed, that the kitten is TICA- or ANCATS-registered with DNA-tested parents, and that it's vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and vet-checked before handover. Every Meowtelier kitten meets all of these.
What does AVS-licensed mean?
AVS is Singapore's Animal & Veterinary Service. An AVS licence means a cattery is legally registered to breed and sell cats here and is held to welfare, health and record-keeping standards, with periodic inspection. Our licence number is AS26D00023.
Are Ragdolls suitable for first-time owners?
Yes. Ragdolls are placid, sociable and forgiving of handling, with little of the skittishness that can surprise new owners — which makes them one of the easiest breeds for a first cat. They do best in homes where someone is around for part of the day, as they love company.
Why are pedigree kittens more expensive than non-pedigree kittens?
The price reflects DNA-tested, health-screened parents, full veterinary care, pedigree registration and careful in-home socialisation in small batches. A non-pedigree kitten skips most of that — which is also why a suspiciously cheap "pedigree" is usually a warning sign rather than a bargain.
Can I visit before placing a deposit?
Yes. Viewings are by appointment at our kitten lounge in Viva Vista, South Buona Vista, daily 11am–7pm. You're welcome to meet the kittens, see their records and ask questions before deciding — there's no obligation to place a deposit on the day.
